ST EPHREM’S THEOLOGICAL INSTITUTE, SATNA A historic development occurred on September 30 when the Holy See officially erected the St. Ephrem’s Theological Institute. This ecclesiastical recognition affirmed the Institute's academic credibility and its integral role in theological and missionary formation within the Syro-Malabar Church. This Institute has been affiliated with the Pontifical Oriental Institute of Religious Studies, Vadavathoor, Kottayam (Prot. N. 05662/2024–540/2024). Additionally, the Holy See has approved the statutes and the academic plan of the Institute. On November 20, Dr. Aneesh Jacob Kizhakkeveedu was appointed Director of the Institute by Mar Raphael Thattil, further strengthening the administrative leadership of the Institute. The official inauguration of the Institute was held on January 20 and presided over by Major Archbishop Mar Raphael Thattil. The ceremony was graced by several bishops and eminent personalities including Mar Joseph Kodakallil, Mar Thomas Padiyath, Mar Mathew Vaniyakizhakkel, Very Rev. Dr. Pauly Maniyattu, Very Rev. Dr. Mathew Kazhuthadiyil and Rev. Dr. Aneesh Jacob Kizhakkeveedu. Their presence symbolized ecclesial support and unity in the mission of theological education.
